We found Vera to be very professional in all her behaviour and expectations. At the same time, she was always personable and attentive. She listened carefully to our requests and needs and these informed her suggestions to us. In the middle of the pandemic, with all parties communicating behind masks and needing to keep a distance, she was very patient with our attempts to explain ourselves in a second language, and in an unfamiliar field to us. She took pains to ascertain that we understood at all stages. Nothing appeared to be a problem. As outsiders, we were not familiar with the procedures of house-buying or the related bureaucracy in Portugal. However, Vera always found a way forward. If we did not have the right documents, she would explain how we could get them, or even arrange appointments - for example, to obtain the NIF. Her work did not stop after the escritura was signed. She facilitated the setting up of the utility accounts in our names and even came to read the meters. She was very trusting in many aspects; because of our position, we did not always have immediate access to what was necessary. Vera kept faith with us to produce this eventually. She even paid for some fees with her own Multibanco card and was prepared to wait for repayment. We highly recommend Vera. Malcom & Melanie
