THE MAIN HOUSE

With a known date of construction in the 1700s, 18th century, by the Marquesa da Ribeira Grande, it was in the 1950s that its current owners carried out enormous restoration works.

This restoration was notable not only for its good taste, but more importantly for the quality of the materials used, which is still clearly visible today.

Marble bathrooms, Macacauba wood, commonly known as “Pau Rosa”, crystal interior door glass, wooden parquet floors still today with an enviable level of conservation, central heating system using a wood-burning boiler and iron radiators distributed throughout the various rooms, at the time the most modern heating system.

The ground floor is characterized by two large social areas (Living and Dining Room), reading room, a large kitchen with pantry and two suites.

As you climb the majestic stairs made of “rosewood” wood, you will find yourself in the music room on the 1st floor, which was the stage for great musical moments in Family and Friends.
