Anselmo Carneiro da Silva Abrigada, Alenquer 15.06.1855 - Cadaval 07.11.1936  

Recebedor da Fazenda Nacional no Cadaval até 1895. Um cargo administrativo de elevado relevo histórico, sendo o responsável pela cobrança de impostos e gestão de receitas públicas a nível local, existindo na Torre do Tombo informação sobre Anselmo Carneiro da Silva no Arquivo Histórico da Fazenda Pública. 

Vereador e posteriormente Presidente da Câmara Municipal do Cadaval (1926-1928); 

Fundador e Comandante dos Bombeiros Voluntários do Cadaval, considerado o grande responsável pela iniciativa que levou à criação da Associação Humanitária dos Bombeiros Voluntários do Cadaval, no final do século XIX, ainda hoje em actividade e presença do seu legado no quotidiano do Cadavalenses. 

Vice-Provedor e posteriormente promovido a Provedor da Santa Casa da Misericórdia do Cadaval (1930-1934).

Fundador e 1º Presidente da Caixa do Crédito Agrícola do Cadaval (1916-1921).

Nomeado Cavaleiro da Ordem Militar de Cristo em (5-10-1930). A Ordem de Cristo foi criada em 1319 pelo rei D. Dinis, como sucessora portuguesa da Ordem dos Templários. Tornou‑se uma das instituições mais influentes da história nacional, especialmente durante os Descobrimentos. Ser Cavaleiro da Ordem de Cristo significava: 

• Reconhecimento direto do Rei;

• Prova de serviços relevantes ao Estado ou à Coroa; 
• Pertencer a uma das ordens mais importantes do reino. 

Com a extinção das ordens religiosas, a Ordem de Cristo passou a ser uma ordem

Representante da Agência de Seguros Tagus no Cadaval. o nome Tagus conta com uma história longa no setor segurador português. A marca remonta à antiga Companhia de Seguros Marítimos Tagus, fundada em 1877, uma seguradora histórica com forte presença no mercado marítimo da época e uma disrupção no Cadaval rural de então. 

Num ofício datado de 9 de Junho de 1930, assinado pelo Presidente da Comissão
Administrativa, Sr. Anselmo Carneiro da Silva e dirigido à Direcção Geral de
Administração Política e Civil do Ministério do Interior verificamos que o mesmo esteve ligado à Ordenação heráldica do brasão e bandeira do Cadaval. 

Devido a esta marca inegável e intrinseca entre Anselmo Carneiro da Silva e o município do Cadaval, foi homenageado singelamente com a nomeação de uma Rua com seu nome, local onde viveu na Vila do Cadaval e onde se ergue o presente imóvel.

Anselmo Carneiro da Silva Abrigada, Alenquer 15.06.1855 - Cadaval 07.11.1936

Receiver of the National Treasury in Cadaval until 1895. An administrative position of high historical importance, being responsible for tax collection and management of public revenues at the local level, and in the Torre do Tombo there is information about Anselmo Carneiro da Silva in the Historical Archive of the Public Treasury.

Councilman and later President of the Municipal Chamber of Cadaval (1926-1928);

Founder and Commander of the Cadaval Volunteer Firefighters, considered the main person responsible for the initiative that led to the creation of the Humanitarian Association of the Cadaval Volunteer Firefighters at the end of the 19th century, which is still active today and whose legacy is present in the daily lives of the people of Cadaval.

Vice-Provedor and later promoted to Provedor of the Santa Casa da Misericórdia of Cadaval (1930-1934).

Founder and 1st President of the Cadaval Agricultural Credit Bank (1916-1921).

Appointed Knight of the Military Order of Christ on (October 5, 1930). The Order of Christ was created in 1319 by King D. Dinis, as the Portuguese successor to the Order of the Templars. Representative of the Tagus Insurance Agency in Cadaval. The Tagus name has a long history in the Portuguese insurance sector. The brand dates back to the former Tagus Maritime Insurance Company, founded in 1877, a historic insurer with a strong presence in the maritime market of the time and a disruption in the rural Cadaval of that time.

In an official letter dated June 9, 1930, signed by the President of the Administrative Commission, Mr. Anselmo Carneiro da Silva and addressed to the General Directorate of Political and Civil Administration of the Ministry of the Interior, we verified that it was linked to the heraldic ordering of the coat of arms and flag of Cadaval.

Due to this undeniable and intrinsic link between Anselmo Carneiro da Silva and the municipality of Cadaval, he was simply honored with the naming of a street after him, the place where he lived in the town of Cadaval and where the present property stands.
