Set in the heart of the Laurissilva forest, recognised as World Natural Heritage by UNESCO. It is surrounded by the mountains of Madeira, which include, among others, Pico do Cedro, Pico das Furnas, Pico Grande, Pico Topeiro, Pico da Encumeada and Pico da Cruz.

It is located 25 km from Funchal and approximately 42 km from Madeira Airport.

The building has an extensive roof in ceramic tile, and with a resistant structure in reinforced concrete, with walls executed in block masonry, aluminium frames, and stonework and various trimmed stone finishes.

The unit has 49 rooms, 43 of which are doubles/twins and 6 are superior doubles. Almost all the rooms have a balcony to the exterior, where it is possible to contemplate the beautiful local landscapes.

It is also worth noting the dining rooms, located on the ground floor, with a capacity for approximately 600 people.
