Interesting facts about the area:
The property is located on land that once belonged to one of the properties of the
Marquis of Pombal himself!
10 meters away is the house where the well-known Maestro Pedro Freitas Branco was born in 1896.
On Calçada da Quintinha, more precisely at number 6, sits one of the arches of the Águas Livres Aqueduct, and there we find the access to the Water Museum and from
where it is possible to visit the Aqueduct.
In the Gothic style, its 14 km were built between 1731 and 1799 with the aim of
supplying water to the entire capital. The aqueduct connected to the spring
located in the hydrographic basin of the Serra de Sintra, more precisely in the
Belas area.
The aqueduct has the largest pointed arch in the world, located in the extraordinary Arcadia of the Alcantara Valley, measuring 65.29 meters high and 28.86 meters wide.
