The project under review is for a rural hotel focused on wine tourism, aiming to create a tourism enterprise where visitors can engage with the local synergies through the vineyards, leisure and spa areas, wine tasting spaces, and pedestrian walkways designed to further enhance the estate's dynamics. Wine Information:

Regarding the wine production, the vineyard includes the grape varieties Alvarinho, Loureiro, Espadeiro, Vinhão, Avesso, and Arinto, covering a total vineyard area of 34,778 m². For the 2023 harvest, the vineyards produced:

  • Loureiro: 12,000 L
  • Alvarinho: 5,500 L
  • Blend of Varieties (Avesso and Arinto): 5,000 L
  • Rosé (Espadeiro and Vinhão): 1,900 L

According to the winemaker who closely monitors the vineyard, the production estimate for the next 3 to 4 years is around 120 barrels per year.

In this location, like the landscapes, the wine is also "Verde." Integrated within the Entre Douro e Minho region — as it is popularly known — the municipality where this estate is located is a fruitful part of the Demarcated Region of Vinho Verde, distinct from others due to its terroir and the predominant use of its native grape varieties.

This estate, situated on the banks of the Tâmega River, prides itself on meeting all the favorable conditions for the development of high-quality white grape varieties. The granite soils, the greater thermal amplitudes than most of the region, with hotter summers, and its connection with the Atlantic and the Tâmega breezes, contribute to the production of unique wines appreciated by both national consumers and tourists or visitors.
